How long have you worked in the industry?
I started work for a local estate agent back in 1987, where I stayed for several years, helping to build a successful lettings portfolio as well as being sales agents. I then decided to broaden my horizons and worked for a national holiday lettings company for several years, as one of their regional managers, recruiting properties and carrying out inspections throughout Cornwall.
In 2004 Lee and I made the decision to start our own agency, bizarrely we saw an advert in the local Cornish Guardian, “Letting Agents for sale”, this seemed too good an opportunity to miss and so we purchased this agency, which at that point had a very small portfolio.
What do you love about your job?
Every day is different! You never know what is going to happen next, so there is definitely plenty of variety.
My passion is visiting new properties and landlords and advising them on the lettings process and helping them to achieve their first let, with the minimum stress for them.
We have an amazing team and seeing them grow to their full potential is very rewarding.

What’s your favourite beach in Cornwall?
Having had the most amazing childhood in Newquay, I love all of the beaches that Newquay has to offer. There is nothing better than the tide being out and walking along the water's edge from Tolcarne to Towan. I know that’s more than one beach, but I can’t choose just one!
What do you do outside of work?
We have a family dog called Milly (who loves nothing more than curling up in her basket in the Bodmin Office) and we love to take her for walks, whether that be the beach or the woods.
We love exploring Cornwall and will often take off for the day on an adventure to somewhere where we have never visited before.
My daughter plays for Bodmin Women FC and I can often be found watching her on a Sunday afternoon but not if it’s raining though!
